9. Hannah J Craig (Marketing)

Each week we post a different club member profile, so when we're finally back together at the club, you are able to put more names to faces and really benefit from our rugby community and family club feeling!

This week, I guess it's my turn! Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm the one who runs the club's social media and updates the website. I think it's about time I said hello...

Name: Hannah J Craig

Age: 21

Positions: Social Media Marketing Manager and Fundraising Committee Member

How many years at Penrith RUFC:
I've been supporting Penrith RUFC 1st XV team for almost 6 years now since first coming down to watch Jamie play. I have been a member of the Fundraising Committee since January 2019 and I picked up the responsibilities of the social media and marketing responsibilities last November.

What do I enjoy most about Penrith RUFC:
While there is always a focus on our senior teams and our 1st XV team in particular, I like that there is a strong sense of rugby development from within our junior teams to allow our players to progress through the club. I also really enjoy being involved with the fundraising team and getting to plan fun events and parties! Everyone at the club is very welcoming and you're always surrounded by friendly faces.

What do I want to see Penrith RUFC achieve in the next season of rugby:
At this rate... just some matches! But seriously, I hope we have two consistent and committed senior teams that see some league progression. I hope our junior section continues to go from strength to strength and our wonderful volunteers coaches and managers continue to offer wonderful training sessions for our always growing junior section.

My fondest memory at Penrith RUFC:
I love all of our fundraising events! Our Race Night at the start of March was great fun, as was the Casino Night that we hosted in December. We also ran the Soccer 6 Cup last year that had over 200 participants and raised over £2000 for the club! Aside from that, any general get together at the club is always a good day/night, especially around the festive period!

Who do you want to hear from next week? Do you know a fellow Penrith RUFC member that deserves the spotlight for a week as a thank you for all their efforts towards the club? Let me know!

I'd also love any suggestions on what you want to see on this space, our other social media and our website. Drop me a message with any ideas! Also, if you fancy joining the fundraising committee to get involved with events and planning/organising for the club, we're always looking for more volunteers!
