The wonderful Pricey will be our virtual quiz master this week so we thought it only right that he is our meet a member Monday profile! Pricey is always up for a laugh and makes a tremendous effort to support the rugby club. He’ll be the first one at the bar for our social events and always gets the crowd going!
Name: Craig Price
Age: 30
Position: Hooker, Fundraising Committee Member and Volunteer Coach
How many years at Penrith RUFC:
“Joined the club in the summer of 2011 when I moved into the area from St Helens, so 9 years this month!”
What’s his fondest memory at Penrith RUFC:
“Winning the County Cup in 2012 and 2019 are big stand outs. But also, helping coach in the Youth Section for a handful of seasons, and seeing the lads develop through to first team level.”
What would he like to see Penrith RUFC achieve next season:
“Senior level, I’d like to see the 2nd team get more consistent fixtures, the 1st team to be pushing the top end of the table, also good numbers down to training so we can get more done. Juniors, I’d like to see us continue what we’re doing in providing a place where boys and girls can come and enjoy their rugby and develop through the fantastic volunteer coaches we’ve got. Finally, I’d really love to see a packed club house every week, when allowed, to make up for all the weeks we’ve had to stay cooped up indoors.”
