Last week, retired player Mike Raine nominated our 1st XV second row Daniel Richardson to be the next one in the hot seat for our locker room chats! We've changed up the questions this week so they're more focussed on the individual players, but let us know what you prefer or want to find out!

First, some rugby specific questions:

1. Who is your favourite sports hero and why? – “Martin Johnson - Big, Horrible, World Cup winner!”

2. What are three reasons you like being part of a sports team? – “My mates, good laugh, working hard and when the results come in enjoying it.”

3. What are your favourite rugby union and rugby league teams? – “Probably been to watch Newcastle more than any other team and rugby league is foreign to me!”

4. What would you say to someone considering joining Penrith RUFC to convince them? – “It’s a great club, I’ve played here since I was 11 years old and known nothing but good times with my mates and the more the merrier.”

5. What is your favourite rugby related memory? – “Torn, one of my first games was against Kendal in which I ended up somehow scoring the winning try, from what I remember the best rugby day I’ve had. But then winning the county cup last year was a brilliant feeling! Take your pick.”

Quick fire questions to get to know Dan:

6. At which store would you like to max out your credit card? – “Probably New Balance, always in that Shap store.”

7. What was your favourite TV show growing up? – “Anything! Ask anyone, any show could be on that tele and I’d be glued and deaf to everything else.”

8. What is your favourite comfort food/meal? – “Not really a sweet guy, too lazy to cook though so takeaways.”

9. Do you have any strange phobias? – “I’m really wary of cows actually haha, I got chased by one as a kid and don’t think I’m properly over it yet.”

10. Have you ever accepted a date that you have later regretted? – “I went on a date once... 6 years later.”

11. What are three things still left on your bucket list? – “Go to a rugby World Cup, a Lions tour, then if I go to a Lions tour, maybe I'll go to all three (South Africa, Australia and New Zealand).”

12. If you could have one superpower, what would you choose? – “Dunno about super but I’d love to be fast... probably make a half decent rugby player if I was fast.”
