Following the extremely successful Fun Day held at the club on 29 June, Penrith RUFC has been given 2 free days use of the heart scanner funded/gifted by CRY for EDEN.

This will take the form of FREE private heart screening checks for anyone aged between 14-35 at Penrith Rugby Club on the 20th and 21st August 2024.

These will be available for all current and ex Rugby players of PRUFC, their partners and their children (whether or not they already play rugby).

Scans already carried out in the district have identified a number of cases where further investigations have been necessary and which would not have been identified without the scans taking place.

This is an exceptional opportunity and we would encourage anyone that fits the criteria to take advantage of what is on offer.

There is no reason why you shouldn’t have a scan – it is painless, quick and potentially life-saving.
